Sorry again!

I have been busy unpacking and cleaning all week and now I'm headed out the door on my way to New Jersey. I will be gone all next week and probably won't update at all. If you're wondering I'm headed to Cape May (Izzy's first time at the Ocean). I just read an interesting article at NASCAR.com that was about young drivers and Legend cars http://www.nascar.com/2007/news/headlines/cup/07/20/dblaney.kwallace.mgreen.kids.racing/index.html.

Update

It's been a hectic week! I didn't get to watch all the races I wanted to. I completely missed the IRL race, but Danica finished 3rd (nice). I did watch the ARCA race and was very impressed by Erin Crocker. Erin started on pole and got spun under a caution early on (not her fault) and was able to race her way back into the top 10. Hopefully Everham will give her a Busch ride next year (maybe I'll get her to mentor Bella).

Moving

Sorry I haven't updated, but I'm in the process of moving. Izzy needs a room of her own. I'll try to update this weekend with some female racing news.

Mucho Loco

I’m sure everyone has seen the fight! What the hell is going on in IRL? I have to admit I loved it. Well Danica had a so-so day and Fisher was never in contention. For half a second I thought Danica had a chance to win. If only she could have gotten a yellow when she was up front and that race was hers.

Izzy and I spent the weekend working on my Jeep. Just a FYI it’s a pain in the ass to change spark plugs when you are holding a baby, but Izzy really likes the sound of engines. She spent the rest of the weekend watching the races. We are falling in love with F1. Hamilton is absolutely amazing and I know people are disappointed he finished 3rd, but in all reality that is a great finish. The end of the Nextel Cup race was absolutely amazing (I believe it was the closest in Daytona history).

Richmond

Female Racing News:

Katherine Legge finished 11th in Champ car this weekend
Danica Patrick finished 6th after a great pit stop in the late going. If she can keep it up she will be winning soon.
Sarah Fisher finished 16th
Milka Duno finished 19th and looked like she didn’t belong out there.

Thoughts about the Richmond IRL race:
I had a great time even though the action was a little lack luster. Dario dominated the entire race. He passed TK once on a restart like he was standing still. Milka Duno looked like crap and I’m starting to wonder if she should be out there. The funniest thing I noticed was when they announced Dan Weldon all the Danica fans Booed (opps I mean everyone). Scariest moment of the day was almost getting run over, by Gene Simmons golf-cart (lol). I have to give props to Marco Andretti, he actually noticed his fans when signing autographs (unlike some drivers).
